Luna doesn't understand and goes on to figure out why and how she should thank the earth. SHe thinks to herself, the earth is not a person, the ocean has no feelings, and the tree can't cry. Her grandma goes on to tell her she is wrong. The Earth is a beautiful place, but it also hurts when it's mistreated. As people continue to heart the earth by causing climate change the beaches she loves may be ruined, the animals in the safari may disappear, and the earth she loves may feel sadness. Luna wants to help, her grandma tells her she must thank the earth for everything it does for us, and encourgae others to do the same. You can take a second and just say thank you earth, but you can also pick up trash you see on the street, use less water, walk to places instead of driving. Small things matter, and one day when luna is all grown up she can team up with people who also take time to thank the earth, and continue to tell others to do the same.,

In a bright kitchen, sunny and grand, Lived a happy boy named Sammy McSand. He loved to make sandwiches, tasty and fun, So today he would show us how to make one! “First, we need bread!” Sammy shouted with glee, Two slices so soft, as fresh as can be. He opened the cupboard and found his best pair, A loaf of white bread with a crusty brown hair. “Now let’s spread butter, nice and smooth,” He grabbed his big knife and made a cool move. With a scoop and a swirl, he spread it with care, “Oh, how I love butter! It’s light as the air!” Next came the veggies, all crunchy and bright, Lettuce and tomatoes, such a lovely sight. He washed them so gently and sliced them with cheer, Stacking them neatly—oh, what fun, oh dear! “Now for the meat!” Sammy clapped with delight, He opened the fridge—what a wonderful sight! Turkey and ham, piled high with some cheese, “Just look at this goodness! I’ll eat it with ease!” “Don’t forget mustard! It adds a big zing!” He squeezed on a dollop—oh, what joy it can bring! Then he topped it with pickles, so crunchy and round, “A yummy sandwich! It’s the best to be found!” He placed the last slice on top with a thud, And gave it a press with a big happy “thud!” “Now, let’s cut it in half, so easy to share, I’ll take one to my friends, with love and with care!” With a plate full of sandwiches, Sammy did grin, “Making a sandwich is such a win-win! It’s fun to create, with flavors to mix, A sandwich adventure—a tasty fix!” So if you feel hungry and don’t know what to do, Just follow Sam’s steps, and you’ll make one too! Little Fox begins down the walk, where he finds some acorns. "Hmm, maybe I can make some acorn soup!" He collects ten acorns and puts them in his wagon. Little Fox stops at Rabbit's house. Rabbit is getting ready for the long cold as well. Rabbit is harvesting and stacking many carrots. Little Fox thinks, " Maybe some carrots would be good in my soup." Little Fox gives Rabbit two acorns for one carrot. Little Fox heads on down the walk by Hedghog's hole. Hedgehog is busy collecting moss for his bed and twigs for his door. Little Fox helps Hedgehog gather his supplies. Hedgehog gives Little Fox 2 bundles of twigs for three acorns. Little Fox continues down the walk to find more things for the long cold. Little fox came upon Turtle fishing in the pond. " Wow, some fish would be tasty in my soup!" he exclaimed. Turtle gives Little Fox 3 small fish for 4 of his acorns. Little Fox continues down the walk to find more things for the long cold. Little Fox finds Porcupine stuck under a log. Little Fox lifts the log and helps Porcupine to get free. Porcupine gives little fox a quill for his help! Satisfied with his adventurous walk, Little Fox begins to head home. Little Fox's wagon is a little heavier than when he started. He pulls his wagon around Turtle's pond, over Hedgehog's hole, passes Rabbit's house, and finally reaches his den. Little Fox is tired from his work today, but he's not finished yet. Little Fox takes everything inside. He looks at his findings for the long cold and is happy. He has an acorn, crunchy carrots, and tasty fish for his soup! He has plenty of twigs to keep his fire warm and toasty and a new quill to knit a new tie and cap! Little Fox finishes eating his soup and climbs into bed for a well-deserved good night's rest.
