1. In a forest, the animals often held contests to see who was the fastest and smartest. One day, a wise old owl announced a special event. Bird: “Tomorrow, there will be a great race! The winner will be crowned the Champion of the Forest and receive a basket of the finest fruits!” The news excited everyone. Each one believed they could win, but the snake boasted the loudest. Snake: “None of you stand a chance! I’ll slither faster than all of you!” he hissed. 2. all the animals gathered at the starting line.
