"Time to go home, Caira," said Luna softly. They flew back through the stars and rainbows until they landed gently back in Caira's room. "Thank you, Luna," said Caira, giving the unicorn a big hug. When Gigi caught the scent of the soup, her mouth watered, and she couldn't resist. She looked up at the tree and saw the pot of soup perched on a high branch. Determined to taste it, Gigi began to stretch her neck. She stretched and stretched, but the soup was still out of reach. Gigi didn't give up. She kept stretching her neck higher and higher until, finally, she managed to get her head into the tree. But as she tried to take a sip, her head got stuck between the branches! Poor Gigi was trapped. For 100 years, Gigi remained stuck in the tree. The other animals tried to help, but it took a long time to figure out how to free her. Eventually, they worked together and managed to rescue Gigi. When she was finally free, Gigi's neck had become incredibly long from all that stretching. From that day on, all giraffes had long necks, just like Gigi. They could reach the highest leaves and enjoy the tastiest treats, all thanks to Gigi's love for palm leaf soup and her determination to reach it. And that's how the giraffe got its long neck.

Thursday Harvey gets his first paycheck and gets very sad. He was supposed to make 100 dollars but the check is only 70 dollars. Mr. Smith sees that Harvey gets sad and explains to him what deductions are. He starts with federal taxes which is about 8 dollars from Harvey's paycheck. The government collects taxes from all citizens to built bridges and highways and fund the army. He then explains what the social security deduction is for and also, medicare, state and city taxes. At the end Harvey is glad that the government is thinking to save money for him so he gets it when he retires. Sparky is Harvey's dog. He is sad when Harvey is sad and then gets happy at the end when Harvey understands how taxes work.
