What we truly need to have is to have God in our heart. We should think of poor kids who don’t have many toys and we should appreciate our toys. We thanks God for giving us so much! And we ask God to help us be closer to Him everyday more than we need to have many toys.

Ch2: A Tiny Egg on a branch. Squeaky’s story began long before he hatched from an egg. His mother had laid her eggs on a tree branch, a safe spot for her little ones to grow. The sun nurtured the eggs, and the cicadas started to hatch. They knew what to do- they wiggled from their eggshells and tumbled down to the earth. Ch3: Digging deep, dreaming big. Life underground was cozy and safe. Ch4: Patience Makes Perfect. Living underground for so long taught Squeaky the value of patience. Ch5: A World of Wonder Awaits. While Squeaky patiently waited underground, an entirely different world bustled with life above. The sun shone, casting rays on the leaves of trees. Ch6: First Flight, New Friends. Finally, after seventeen years, the day arrived when Squeaky felt a strong urge to dig his way up. It was a moment he had been waiting for filled with anticipation and excitement. He pushed and shoved until he broke through the surface, feeling the warm sun on his back. Ch7: The Importance of Community. He saw how the cicadas worked together, their collective song filling the air. Ch8: The Song of the Cicada. Squeaky discovered that the song of the cicada was a love song, a call to attract a mate and start a new generation. Ch9: Sharing Joy, Spreading Kindness. Squeaky, with his kind heart, made many friends. He played with the ladybugs, the ants, and the caterpillars. Ch10: A Summer to Remember. Summer flew by with fun and adventure for Squeaky. He had explored the world, made friends, and even found a special someone to share his life with. Ch11: Until We Meet Again. Squeaky knew that his purpose was to ensure the continuation of his species. He and his mate laid their eggs on a safe branch; they had chosen a place where the eggs would be protected from predators and harsh weather.

God describes David as “a man after My own heart” (1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22). That does not mean that he was blameless. We only need to read 2 Samuel 11 to see that David has fallen very low: he took the wife of one of his generals, Bathsheba, because she was very beautiful. When Bathsheba turned out to be pregnant, David called her husband Uriah home from the battle field hoping he would sleep with her. That would “solve” the problem of Bathsheba’s pregnancy. But Uriah didn’t go home, not even when made drunk, so David sent him back to the battle field with a letter ordering his death. After Uriah’s death, David married Bathsheba. The description of this whole story ends with a clear comment: “the thing that David had done displeased the Lord” (2 Samuel 11:27). God didn’t let David get away with this. He confronted him with his sin, and David repented. Psalm 51 gives us an intimate glimpse of his emotions:

First and final pages should introduce students to New Brunswick and the idea that NB and people have changed over time. Each page should then introduce a group that has immigrated to NB. It should include a brief, child friendly history(year/period of time), a picture, a symbol, specific of where the group came from and where they arrived and other simple information. This information should be historically accurate and should include indigenous place names as often as possible. The groups included in this book should be Indigenous Peoples, French Settlers, British Loyalists, Irish Immigrants, Scottish Immigrants, Other European Immigrants, African Canadians, Asian immigrants, Immigrants from the Middle East, Immigrants from Latin America.
