Suddenly, Luwam pointed. "Look! Over there!" Under a big tree, Kudus sat holding a shiny rock that glowed faintly. ________________________________________ Sewit: (relieved) "Kudus! Why did you run off?" Kudus: (innocently) "I saw this glowing rock and wanted to follow it." Luwam: "You scared us! Don’t run away like that again." Kudus: (looking down) "I didn’t think you’d miss me." Sewit: (hugging him) "Of course we’d miss you. We love you, Kudus. We’re stronger when we stick together." ________________________________________ The three of them held hands and walked home, the lantern lighting their way.
