One day, a silly zoo owner named Mr. Bumble bought a very special animal from him: a giant Pink Gorilla! “This gorilla is amazing,” said Mr. Bumble. “But why are you selling it?” “Well,” said Mr. Wiggly with a twinkle in his eye, “because I have ONE important rule: Never, EVER touch the Pink Gorilla on his right shoulder.” Mr. Bumble promised not to touch it. Finally, Mr. Bumble stopped, out of breath. The Pink Gorilla leaned in close and said… “TAG! YOU’RE IT!” Then the Pink Gorilla laughed and sprinted back to his pen. From that day on, Mr. Bumble followed the rule: Never touch a Pink Gorilla’s right shoulder. You just might get a surprise!

What am I?” Lulu smiled. “An echo!” “Correct,” the wizard said, vanishing. The friends carried the star to a hilltop. Lulu sang, and the star floated back to the sky, its light brighter than ever. “We did it!” Didi cheered. “Because we worked together,” Mimi purred. From that day, they were known as the heroes of the Enchanted Woods, proving teamwork and bravery could overcome any challenge.

One day the library media center had an unwelcomed visitor. This visitor was not an ordinary human. This visitor was not even human at all. It was from Mars. It was Martian. And it was a fly. He went from book to book and read how to live on Earth. What to eat to not make his belly hurt. And how to avoid humans. He was having the time of his life. Until one day, he made a big mistake. The media specialist and her assistant Miss Bee and Miss Crystal saw him in the nonfiction section. They didn't know that he was an alien. They assumed he was a mutated fly that was so big that he might bite one of their students. No matter how hard they tried they were unable to catch the fly. Soon, they gave up because they had a job to do and that was to make sure all students could come in and check out great books to read as well as help students with their Chromebooks. So Miss Bee decided to trap the fly in another room so no student could be harm by the fearsome creature.

Nylon is having issues embracing his natural curly locks. Nylon has tried everything to cover his natural curly hair from wearing baseball caps, pulling hoodies over his head with the drawstring tightly. Nylon thought to himself one night maybe if I spray my head with water and hold my hands on top of my head for 10 minutes my hair would flatten, while this did make Nylon's hair less poofy, by the time morning arrived Nylon hair was curlier and puffer than ever. Nylon figured the only other option he had was to ask his father if he could get his haircut. So, one Saturday morning Nylon's father took him to the local barbershop to get a haircut. Although this is what Nylon thought was going to be life changing, he still didn't feel any different, eventhough his hair was now gone. When Nylon returned to school on Monday all the kids were looking and pointing not quite the response Nylon was looking for, one of his classmates Syer asked him "Heyyyy, why did you cut your hair? "I thought your hair was really cool looking, I wish my hair would curl like that." Nylon gave a slight smile but on the inside he felt confused, but realized that none ever told him that they did not like his locks, no one ever made fun of him that he had extra curly hair, but instead it was his insecurities about his locks that made him feel that everyone else felt the exact same way that he did. From that day on Nylon realized sometimes being different is what makes us all be unique. Nylon went back home and told his dad that he thinks he will let his hair grow back.
