A 6 year old girl moves across the world and has to start a new school. She lives in a toxic household and is constantly trying to please others to maintain the peace. She has undiagnosed ADHD and constantly hides it. This work is about her discovering her true self and living life without hiding her adhd.

Would you like to celebrate the Lunar New Year with us tonight? It’s going to be fun, with lots of food and a dragon dance! ”Lina’s eyes lit up. “I’d love to! But I don’t know much about it.” “That’s okay,” Tian said. “I’ll tell you! It’s about family, and showing kindness to others.” That evening, Lina and her parents went to Tian’s house. Red lanterns hung everywhere, and the table was full of delicious food “Red brings good luck,” Tian explained. “That’s why there’s so much red during Lunar New Year!” After dinner, Lina watched the dragon dance. Everyone cheered. At the end of the night, Tian gave Lina a small red envelope. “What’s inside?” Lina asked. “Open it tomorrow,” Tian said. “It’s for good luck!” The next morning, Lina opened the envelope and found a shiny coin inside. She thought about the celebration and how kind Tian had been to invite her. Lina smiled and promised to share kindness in the new year. After dinner, Lina watched the dragon dance. Nate went to the doctor because his family and teachers were worried he was scattered, he had difficulty paying attention and staying organized. he had difficulty finishing tasks that were not interesting to him but sometimes, he could over-focus and lose track of time he had difficulty regulating his concentration that he found hard to follow simple tasks. he had a hard time sitting still, he would often lose or misplace objects and was forgetful. sometimes. he would often get distracted. They found this problem had a name called ADHD but with the right supports Nate would succeed.

Bert was no ordinary dog. He was big, strong, and had the softest brown eyes. But what made him truly special was his job—he was a therapy dog. Every day, Bert and his owner, Mrs. G, put on his blue therapy vest and visited schools to help kids feel calm and happy. Some were shy, others nervous, but when Bert walked in, smiles grew, and hearts felt lighter. Bert loved belly rubs, gentle pats, and listening to kids read. It made him feel loved and important. One chilly afternoon, after visiting a school, Bert and Mrs. G were heading out when—slam!—a heavy door shut on Bert’s tail. He yelped. Mrs. G rushed to his side, worried and upset.
