In the township of Alexandra, there was a city of rats called RatAlex, led by a wise and clever chief rat named Babarat. Babarat was revered for his intelligence and shared stories of survival and adventures with young rats, teaching them important lessons about safety in the human township. He advised them to venture out at night and be cautious of cars. Among the young rats was an adventurous and curious rat named Gundwanyana. One day, driven by curiosity, he ventured out and got lost after being chased by children. He struggled to find his way back to RatAlex, experiencing fear and hunger. He narrowly escaped danger while trying to steal food from a shack and eventually found refuge at the Alexandra stadium. From there, he recalled the way back to RatAlex. On his return journey, Gundwanyana found food in a dustbin and, after eating, finally made his way back to RatAlex. He recounted his harrowing adventure to the other young rats, who admired his bravery and resilience.

Mina is a half Korean and Half Vietnamese girl who is learning about the Vu Lan Festival that is celebrated on June 15th. She sees her parents setting up an altar and preparing food and learns to make a sweet rice cake with her mother. She is told that the festival is meant to honor parents and ancestors with offerings made at home and at the Vietnamese temple. Her family visits a temple and prays. Afterwards, they light and hang a paper lantern on a tree. The next day the family packs up old clothes and toys to give to their local Vietnamese charity. Mina is happy to remember her ancestors and help others, looking forward to doing it again next year

1: In the sparkling waters of Blue Wave Bay lived two dolphins, Spirit and Splash. Spirit was a little dolphin with a twinkle in her eye, always curious and eager to learn. Splash, her older brother, was strong, swift, and known as the best jumper in the whole bay. 2: One sunny morning, Spirit swam up to Splash. "Splash, can you teach me how to do tricks and jump like you?" she asked, her tail flipping with excitement. 3: Splash smiled and nodded. "Of course, little sister! But remember, it takes practice and patience. Let’s start with something easy—a spin!" 4: Splash leaped out of the water, twirling in the air like a silver ribbon. Spirit watched in awe, then tried her best. She leaped but only managed a wobbly twist before splashing back into the sea. 5: "That was great for a first try, Spirit !" Splash encouraged. "Now, let's keep practicing. Soon, you'll be spinning like a star!" 6: Spirit practiced every day, twirling and spinning until she felt dizzy. With each attempt, she got better and better. You worked hard, and now you're a true jumper!" 11: From that day on, Spirit and Splash spent their days performing tricks together, spinning, leaping, and playing in the waves.
