People walking by would give him water when the ground was dry to get him to grow. But Mr. Tree was doing more than just growing. He was creating and recycling! First, the sunlight powered him up, like a battery. Then, his roots slurped up water from the ground. Sluuuurp! Finally, Mr. Tree pulled in the “bad air,” and mixed it in his leaves. By doing this he made yummy sugar to eat! That’s how Mr. Tree grew taller and taller and taller. But Mr. Tree wasn’t just making food for himself—he was also giving back to the world. As he grew, he would recycle the air, sending out clean air for everyone to breathe. “Here you go!” People, animals, and plants all needed Mr. Tree’s hard work to stay happy and healthy. But one day, Mr. Tree noticed something was wrong. People were burning things like gas to power their cars, factories, and machines, and it was leaking tons and tons of bad air! “Uh-oh, this is a big problem!” Too much bad air traps the Earth, similar to a heated blanket. This makes the planet hotter, called climate change, which is not good for anyone—people, animals, or plants like Mr. Tree. From then on, whenever people walked by, they’d smile and say, “Thank you, Mr. Tree!” And Mr. Tree would smile back, knowing everyone was learning how important trees are. So remember, kids: take care of trees, because they help us breathe and keep the Earth happy and healthy!

Lily was a little lamb who liked to play in the green meadows with her friends. All day she would run, jump, and chase butterflies. But one afternoon, as she played near the edge of the field, she spotted a bright red flower in the distance. “I’ll be right back!” she yelled to her friends as she sprinted toward it. But the more she walked, the more distant the flower became. Soon, Lily glanced around and realized that she was lost. The tall trees seemed to close in around her, and she could no longer see her home. Lily began to cry. “Shepherd! Where are you?” she called but did not receive an answer. Then she heard a familiar voice in the distance. It was the Good Shepherd, calling her name! “Lily! Where are you?” “I’m here!” she cried, her little heart filled with hope. The Shepherd rushed to her side, cradling her in His arms. “You just wandered away, my child,” He smiled. “But I have found you, and I am taking you home.” Lily cuddled up close to feel safe and loved. When they came back to the meadow, all her friends cheered. The Shepherd smiled and replied, “I will never stop looking for my lost sheep and bringing them back home.” So from that day forward, Lily, among the flock with the Shepherd, knew He would always love and protect her. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” —Psalm 23:1

At the beach, Ruby and daddy can go for a swim but that there was big surf. Ruby felt a little scared and apprehensive but 1 foot at a time her daddy helped the guy out into the deep potion countering big waves, turtles and dolphins once I got Out back to where the ocean was calm Daddy told Ruby told her birth and said let’s go on underwater adventure so taking the deep dive they discovered an underwater palace which was the palace of a crab king crab. Hi, I’m Karots, the Welsh pony, and though I may be a bit older now, I still have a mischievous streak! As a lesson pony, I spend my days teaching children not just how to ride but how to stay alert and on their toes! My mornings start like anyone else's—with breakfast, but don’t dare give me food I don’t like, or I’ll simply refuse to eat! After my meal, I play with my pony pals—biting, kicking, and running around wildly—it’s our favorite way to bond! Then, the real fun begins. I know when the children arrive, and I can’t wait to greet them. I like to test my new two-legged friends as soon as they put the halter on, by bolting out of the stall. Sometimes I run so fast I lift them right off their feet—what a ride! Of course, if they let go of the lead rope, it’s FREEDOM! I trot around like the star of my own parade, and the humans reward me with carrots and cookies for my stellar performance. Once they catch me, it’s time for the next round of fun in the arena. I make sure their ride is exciting—no boring trotting in circles for me! I prefer zig-zag patterns, spontaneous canters, and inserting my head or leg through the fence, just to make them squeal. I’ve also mastered the art of picking up branches, just to see how long I can hold on while they try to pry them from my mouth! Of course, after all that fun, I always end the day with good behavior. The children un-tack me, give me lots of scratches (the human version of chewing, I’ve learned), and most importantly, plenty of carrots. After all, carrots are a Karots’ favorite treat!
