World Standards Day (or International Standards Day) is an international day celebrated on 14 October each year.[1] The day honours the efforts of the thousands of experts who develop voluntary standards within standards development organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME),[2] International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The aim of World Standards Day is to raise awareness among regulators, industry and consumers as to the importance of standardization to the global economy. Ben is Sarah's father. I am hungry, and you are food!” The snake ate as many fish as he could and slithered out of the river, his belly full. 3. 3 MEETING THE RABBIT At the river's edge, he saw a mother rabbit feeding her baby. Rabbit: “Please don't eat me, Mr. Snake. My baby needs me. She is too small to take care of herself alone.” Snake: “I only care about my hunger!” 4. THE CLEVER SQUIRREL AND BIRD High in a tree, a squirrel saw what was happening and called his friend, a bird. “We need to stop the snake Squirrel: “We need to stop the snake.” Bird: “Oh, mighty snake! did you know there’s a treasure hidden under the big oak tree? Only the strongest can find it!” 5. 5 FINDING THE TREASURE Curious and proud, the snake slithered to the oak tree, leaving the rabbit behind. He dug and dug but found nothing. Snake: “Where is the treasure?” Bird: “The treasure isn’t gold. It’s kindness.” Squirrel: “That's true. True strength comes from helping others, not hurting them.” 6. A NEW BEGINNING The snake thought about the fish and the rabbit and felt ashamed. “I want to be better,” he said. He apologized to the rabbit and promised to change. From that day on, the snake became friends with the squirrel, bird, rabbit, and even the fish. Together, they showed the forest that kindness is the greatest treasure.

The water was cool and refreshing, and the underwater world teemed with colorful fish darting between vibrant coral. After their refreshing swim, it was time for lunch. Dad unpacked a picnic basket overflowing with sandwiches, fruit, and juice boxes. They ate their lunch while watching a playful crab scuttle across the rocks. Dad taught Audrey and Daniel how to navigate using a compass and chart, showing them how to identify landmarks and plan their course. Daniel even got to try steering the boat under Dad's watchful eye. Audrey, meanwhile, kept a lookout for marine life, excitedly pointing out every passing bird and fish. As the sun began to set, painting the sky in fiery hues of orange and pink, they headed back to shore. Tired but exhilarated, Audrey and Daniel snuggled up next to their dad, their faces flushed with the sun and filled with the joy of their first boating adventure. Butch, curled up at their feet, let out a contented sigh. They couldn't wait for their next trip on the water!

Enkosi wanted so much to be a Super Hero. He climbed tables, chairs, window bars and everything climbable in his Mumba family home. One day he was stung by a bee whilst in the farm fields of the farm that his family lived at - Oakley Green Farms. Although it didn't hurt, his father, Daddy Chombs, applied some medication for the sting. He went to bed late for his age as usual. Like most nights he dreamt of being a super hero.

Cuando se levantó le costó al principio. Pero la miró a su mamá y volvió a estar feliz. Le encantaba su vida y siempre podía seguir siendo princesa en sus sueños. Y lo extraño fue que cuando abrió la mano, tenía la piedra violeta!
