John Jr and Vasi wasted to go there bad, because the map showed a treasure hidden there. Granny took them to the area so John Jr and Vasi could explore. 4. John Jr and Vasiwalkaround for a few hours. They was about to give up, until they noticed an apple tree. The map showed the treasure near that. John Jr and Vasi studied the map a little more to figure out how it was position around that tree. 5. John Jr finds the spot and start digging. They get about 2 ft deep and see this hard plastic container. They get it out. 6. John Jr opens it up and finds a news paper from 1983. The headline was President Reagan created a day to honor Martin Luther King. They find some change that had 1983 imprinted on them. The was a tape of Michael Jackson's Thriller. 5. There was also a Care Bear with a heart on it. There was also some He-Man figurines. They find a box of Nerds candy. They wondered if the Nerds were safe to eat. 6. John Jr and Vasi takes the time capsule back to John Jr's Granny house. Everyone eats some supper. John Jr and Vasi go to their bedroom to play with the time capsule.

Mina is a half Korean and Half Vietnamese girl who is learning about the Vu Lan Festival that is celebrated on June 15th. She sees her parents setting up an altar and preparing food and learns to make a sweet rice cake with her mother. She is told that the festival is meant to honor parents and ancestors with offerings made at home and at the Vietnamese temple. Her family visits a temple and prays. Afterwards, they light and hang a paper lantern on a tree. The next day the family packs up old clothes and toys to give to their local Vietnamese charity. Suddenly, there path blocked by a fallen log. The snake tried to push the log away but couldn’t. He looked around for help, but none of the animals trusted him because of his earlier boasting. Just then, the rabbit and squirrel arrived and helped. Snake: “Why would you help me?” Bird: “Because helping others is what makes us stronger,” 5. Finally, all the animals raced toward the finish line together. To everyone’s surprise, the fish, who had steadily swum along the whole race, crossed first! The snake, though he didn’t win, felt happy for the fish and thanked the squirrel and rabbit. Snake: “I was wrong to be so proud. Kindness and teamwork matter more than winning.” From that day on, the snake became a better friend, and the animals of the forest learned that working together brings the greatest rewards.
