The war was fought over disagreements about slavery, states vs. federal rights, the election of Abraham Lincoln, and the economy. 3. John Jr found some information on the battle of Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg was a three-day battle fought between Union and Confederate forces between July 1 and July 3, 1863, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The battle, which was won by the Union, is widely considered the Civil War's turning point, ending the Confederacy's aspirations to establish an independent nation. It was the Civil War's bloodiest battle, claiming over 50,000 combined casualties over three days. 4. Yuēhàn found some information of the final battle and shared it with John Jr. The Battle of Palmito Ranch took place on May 12–13, 1865, near the Rio Grande in Cameron County, Texas. The battle was fought between Confederate forces under Col. John S. “Rip” Ford and Union forces under Col. Theodore H. Barrett. The battle resulted in a Confederate victory. 5. John. Jr and Yuēhàn finished packing and loaded up the car. They had a wonderful time in Gettysburg and even saw a Civil War reenactment.

The Magical Morning Music Once upon a time, in a cozy little house, a young child named Riley was fast asleep, snuggled under a warm, fluffy blanket. Clink! Munch! Munch! (Use a wood block or metal spoon on a small bowl.) After finishing breakfast, Riley grabbed their backpack and ran out the door. The birds chirped in the trees—Tweet! Tweet!—and a gentle breeze blew past—Whooosh! (Use a small whistle for birds and a shaker for the wind.) At the bus stop, the school bus arrived with a loud "Vroom! Honk!" Riley hopped on and found a seat as the bus rumbled down the road. (Use a drum roll for the bus engine and a horn for the honk.) He learned that God wants wants you to grow into a strong tree, nourished by the light of His word. God promised those who follow and trust his way will flourish and prosper. 2. Jesus is the water of life that will nourish and gives us light for all us to grow into a strong person. John Jr decided to delight in the ways of God and to not let Satan decieve him. John Jr started to read more about being a good follower of Jesus. John Jr wanted to bear good fruit and started practicing love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, and faith in his everyday life. John learned wisdom was tree of life and the righteous was its fruit. 3. John Jr learned that the tree of knowledge of bad and evil tries to divide human action into Right or Wrong, Good or Evil and Lawful or Unlawful with privileges and punishments for each case. John Jr learned that the tree of knowledge is where sin came from. John Jr decided that he was going to obey God's ways better. He decided to not tell lies anymore and to be kind to his neighbor by not picking their flowers and just try to be more righteous. 4. So God wants us to plant vegetables in our garden that will draw us closer to him. John Jr started planting peas, lettuce, squash, turnips and thyme.

Come with me.” Jim then runs towards his parents and shouts to his mother, “mommy, can you please give me the arm floats?”. Jim’s mother took out the arm floats from her beach bag, and gave them to Jim. Jim gave one to Fran and said “here, blow that float up and I will blow this one up”. Fran and Jim each blew up one arm float. Then Jim said “Now slide these up your arms. I will help you. They will help you to float in the water.” After the floats were on her little upper arms, she held out her arms and started to walk towards the water with Jim. Jim went into the water up to his knees first. Jim then turned and reached out his hand to Fran and said “come in the water with me”. Fran held his hand and walked into the water with him. As Fran went further into the water, she then exclaimed to Jim “I can’t feel the bottom with my feet anymore!”. Jim then laughed and said, “that’s because you are floating”. Then Fran realized that the arm floats were helping her to float. She then laughed and shouted to her parents saying “Mommy, Daddy, I am floating!”. Her parents waved to her smiling and Jim’s parents were also smiling. Fran and Jim then had fun laughing and playing in the water together, while both of their parents looked on, smiling. Fran and Jim had the best beach day ever.
