Once upon a time, in a small town, there was a little boy named Gus. Gus loved to run and play outside. One sunny day, he spotted a big, muddy puddle in his yard. “Yippee!” shouted Gus. “I’m going to jump in that puddle!” Gus put on his bright red boots and ran toward the puddle. His friend, Bud, saw him from the swing. “Wait for me, Gus!” Bud called, swinging high. Gus waited. “Come on, Bud! It’s fun!” Bud jumped off the swing and ran to join Gus. Together, they stood at the edge of the puddle. “On the count of three, let’s jump!” said Gus. “Okay!” Bud nodded. “One… Two… Three!” They both jumped into the muddy puddle. Splash! Mud flew everywhere! “Look at us!” Gus laughed. “We’re muddy buddies!” Just then, a little dog named Pup came over. He tilted his head and barked, “Woof! What are you doing?” “We’re having a muddy fun time!” Bud said, splashing more mud. Pup wagged his tail. “I want to join!” Gus and Bud laughed. “Okay, Pup! Jump in!” Pup jumped right into the puddle, sending mud flying. They all rolled and played until they were covered in mud from head to toe. After a while, they decided it was time to clean up. “Let’s go back to my house,” said Gus. “We can wash off in the tub!” When they got to Gus's house, his mom chuckled at the sight of the muddy friends. “Oh my! What happened to you three?” “We had the best fun in the puddle!” Gus exclaimed, grinning. His mom smiled and filled the tub with warm water. “Alright, muddy buddies, it’s bath time!” After their bath, Gus, Bud, and Pup sat together on the porch, drying off in the sun. “That was the best day ever!” Bud said. “Let’s do it again tomorrow!” Gus replied, his eyes sparkling with excitement. And so, every sunny day, they would jump in the puddles, making more muddy memories together. The End

Once upon a time there was a girl named Lena, and more than anything else in the world she loved... to eat! From morning till evening Lena was ready to try everything that could be found on the table. - Lena, come to breakfast! - called mom. - I'm already running! - Lena answered and rushed to the kitchen, where she was waiting for fragrant pancakes with jam and warm milk. After breakfast, Lena didn't have time to sit idle for long. She looked in the refrigerator and thoughtfully asked: - Maybe I'll have an apple? Or a piece of cheese? And then came lunch - soup, mashed potatoes with a cutlet and, of course, compote with cookies. Lena ate everything with pleasure and always said: - Mommy, you cook like a magician! But Lena's favorite time was in the evening. After dinner, mom and dad would let Lena have a “dessert tea party”. The girl would sit down at the table with a cup of tea and a big plate of cakes. - Lenochka, and you are not afraid that you will become too big from all these delicious things? - sometimes daddy would joke. - No! - Lena answered. - I'll just become the happiest person! But one day it happened that Lena's tummy suddenly got sick. The doctor said it was because the girl ate too many sweets and forgot about healthy fruits and vegetables. - Lena, food is great, but you need to eat right to be healthy and energetic, - said the doctor with a smile. From then on, Lena became a real little connoisseur of healthy eating. Now she loved not only cakes, but also salads, porridge and fresh fruit. And you know what? She was still the happiest person in the world - because food continued to bring her joy, only now without the pain in her stomach!

Odo, sensing their fear, knelt and prayed for peace. Miraculously, the villagers’ unease faded, and an elder invited them to share their story. The Story of Christmas Under a grand tree, Odo gathered the villagers and told them the story of Jesus' birth. He spoke of a baby sent by God to bring love, hope, and joy to the world. The villagers, especially the children, were captivated and asked to celebrate this special birth. The First Christmas Celebration The villagers prepared joyfully: children decorated a tree with palm leaves, seashells, and flowers, while the adults cooked a feast of fresh fruits, fish, and rice. Odo taught them a song about Jesus, and together they celebrated under the starry sky. The Gift Exchange Odo encouraged the villagers to exchange gifts made with love. They gave simple, meaningful offerings like woven mats, carved animals, and shiny shells, emphasizing the true spirit of giving. The Lesson of Christmas Odo reminded everyone that Christmas was about love, kindness, and unity. The villagers, touched by his words, vowed to celebrate Christmas every year as a reminder to cherish these values. Odo's Departure As Odo and his friends prepared to leave, the villagers gave him a pouch of seashells as a token of gratitude. Waving goodbye, they promised to carry the spirit of Christmas in their hearts. Ending Note Thus, on December 25, 1324, the first Christmas in the Philippines was celebrated, igniting a tradition of love, kindness, and faith that the villagers passed down through generations.

1. It was July 4th and John Jr and Yuēhàn were excited about that evenings festivities. Yuēhàn was curious as to why there was a holiday, so John Jr went and did a little research. 2. John Jr found out about a very important document called the Declaration of Independence and explained to Yuēhàn a little history on it. John Jr explained that America was involved in a Revolutionary War. The Declaration of Independence is the founding document of the United States. On July 4, 1776, it was adopted unanimously by the 56 delegates to the Second Continental Congress, who convened at the Pennsylvania State House, later renamed Independence Hall, in the colonial era capital of Philadelphia. The Committee of Five, including John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Robert R. Livingston, and Roger Sherman, were the ones who had the most influential input into authoring the document. Thomas Jefferson actually wrote the original document the Second Continental Congress then did the editing. The signers of the Declaration of Independence are the nation's Founding Fathers. 3. John Jr explained how the Declaration explains to the world why the Thirteen Colonies regarded themselves as independent states no longer subject to British colonial rule. The Declaration justified the independence of the United States by listing 27 colonial grievances against King George III and by asserting certain natural and legal rights, including a right of revolution. 5. John Jr told Yuēhàn that The Declaration of Independence has proven an impactful statement on human rights, particularly its second sentence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." 6. Later that day, John Jr and Yuēhàn began their Independence Day celebrations with a family picnic. They night ended with a spectacular fireworks display.
