Emma started talking with the Racoon. Racoon told Emma that his name is Dignity, and the apple is his friend, named Hope. Dignity told emma all about food insecurity in our community and that she is not the only one who comes to the foodbank. Feed Scarborough's foodbanks are set up like a grocery store, so her mom can pick and choose the food that Emma likes. Dignity also told Emma about so many children, who are not having enough food to eat nowadays as times are tough. Dignity told Emma that better days are coming soon as Toronto's Mayor and Canada's Prime Minister is working together to have better food in school so no children need to study in empty stomach. As dignity was telling Emma these stories, suddenly Emma heard her Mom's voice, calling out to her. As she turned towards the door, she saw her mom asking her to come with her so they can leave the foodbank. As Emma turned back, Dignity and Hope was nowhere to be seen. Was Dignity and Hope real? Were they really there telling Emma the story or were they franction of her imagination, as on the wall, there was a poster of Dignity and Hope (which are the mascots of Feed Scarborough.

Maplewood was a happy town. But one day, news came that a sneaky weasel gang was hiding near the edge of the town. The animals were worried and wondered what they should do. Big Bucks Bear, who ran Maplewood Supply Company, had a plan. “We need strong walls and traps to keep the weasels out,” he said. Big Bucks told the animals that, just like during the Cold Forest Standoff years ago, they had to stay prepared and strong. But Penny the Raccoon had another idea. “What if we try to befriend the weasels or help them find a place to live?” she asked. She reminded everyone that spending too much on defense—like when the animals once sent nuts and supplies to faraway lands—could leave them without enough for themselves. Big Bucks was persuasive. He convinced Maplewood to use almost all of their savings to build walls, just like in the Squirrel-Bird Dispute over Nut Valley, when they built forts and traps. Soon, Maplewood was pouring all its resources into Big Bucks’ projects. Penny noticed that things around town were falling apart. With so much money going to walls and gadgets, there was hardly anything left to fix schools, parks, or even make enough food! “What if we’re using up our savings on things that don’t help us every day?” she thought. Penny gathered everyone and shared her plan. “Instead of building walls, let’s work together and share what we have. The world needs peace, just like we learned in the Forest Unity Days!” She reminded them that when the animals had shared their food and tools, they had more than enough. As the animals talked and listened, they realized that the weasels weren’t all bad. They just needed help, too. Penny and her friends invited the weasels to work and play together in Maplewood, and soon they were all sharing the forest’s food and shelter. He used his skills to help rebuild schools, parks, and homes, seeing that Maplewood was stronger when everyone worked together.

John Jr gave Yuēhàn some history about the Civil War. The American Civil War was a war between the Union (Northern US States) and the Confederacy (Southern US States) that lasted from 1861-1865. The war was fought over disagreements about slavery, states vs. federal rights, the election of Abraham Lincoln, and the economy. 3. John Jr found some information on the battle of Gettysburg. The Battle of Gettysburg was a three-day battle fought between Union and Confederate forces between July 1 and July 3, 1863, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The battle, which was won by the Union, is widely considered the Civil War's turning point, ending the Confederacy's aspirations to establish an independent nation. It was the Civil War's bloodiest battle, claiming over 50,000 combined casualties over three days. 4. Yuēhàn found some information of the final battle and shared it with John Jr. The Battle of Palmito Ranch took place on May 12–13, 1865, near the Rio Grande in Cameron County, Texas. The battle was fought between Confederate forces under Col. John S. “Rip” Ford and Union forces under Col. Theodore H. Barrett. The battle resulted in a Confederate victory. 5. John. Jr and Yuēhàn finished packing and loaded up the car. They had a wonderful time in Gettysburg and even saw a Civil War reenactment.

"What's wrong, Starfish?" he asked. Starfish told him about her lost shell. Clownfish felt sorry for her. "Don't worry," he said, "We will find it!" 3. Clownfish and Starfish looked for the shell. They asked all their friends – the octopus, the crab, and even the old seahorse. Everyone helped, but the shell was still gone. 4. The turtle, who was very wise, came over. "Did you look in the ocean current?" he asked slowly. "Sometimes the current takes things far away." 5. The dolphin was very fast. "I will swim and look for your shell in the current, Starfish," he said. Dolphin zoomed through the water, looking everywhere, following where the current went. 6. After a long time, Dolphin saw it! Starfish's shell was stuck in some seaweed, far away. He carefully took it and swam back quickly. 7. When Dolphin came back with the shell, Starfish was so happy! She hugged Clownfish, thanked Turtle, and gave Dolphin a little push with her starfish arms. "Thank you, my friends!" she cried. "You saved the day!" From that day on, Starfish loved her shell even more, and she always remembered how kind her friends were.
