And a brown pebble meant "hay time," a job for the strong horses. But Mandy Moo wasn't just a manager. She was a skilled operator, a master of the farm's machinery, and a whiz with a wrench. The little tractor was easy for her, but she could also handle the truck, driving it with surprising agility to transport supplies around the property. A parent helps them start the fire. “Be safe, boys!” they say. “Yummy! Let’s roast marshmallows!” says Tipene. They laugh as they cook. They sit by the fire. “Tell me a story!” Nikora asks. Tipene begins. The sky gets dark, and stars twinkle above. “Look at all the stars!” says Nikora. They lie on the grass, dreaming about the stars. “What do you see?” asks Tipene.

An old, rusty, small tractor with a big heart. Rusty the tractor lived on Greenfield farm, where the crops were thirsty because there was no rain. While the other tractors rested, Rusty worked hard to water and care for the plants, hoping to help the farm. When harvest time came, Farmer Joe was surprised to find there were enough crops to pick, thanks to Rusty’s hard work. Everyone on the farm celebrated, and Rusty was proud to have saved the day!

The children want to start collecting plastic bottle tops to recycle with Lids4Kids. They meet a nice volunteer who will drive their lids to Canberra for them. Then they send a letter home to their families and ask them to collect plastic bottle tops from milk bottles, pop bottles and water bottles. The children enjoy washing the lids in warm soapy water with their family (and pet dog). Next week all the children bring in a bag of lids each. Together they group the lids into colour groups. The nice volunteer pick them up and takes them to Lids4Kids in Canberra. The lids are then turned into a rainbow colored park bench. The teacher surprises the children by buying the rainbow park bench for their playground.

The bee turned around and flew to her side. “We don’t have time for this slack. Jump on my back.” The bee buzzed. So why could she hear this big ole bee? Well, it was because today Addie Mae turned three, and only special little girls can talk to animals as soon as they turn three. C is for cottage. So Adeline Mae jumps on his back and they fly down the hill and into the woods, and he took her to where a little secret cottage stood. D is for dog. The cottage was covered with thousands of beautiful flowers. Hidden behind the flowers was a small gold door. They open the door and are greeted with a loud bark. Inside the secret cottage is a white fluffy poodle. “Did you bring me my strudel?” The poodle is Sir Henry, the famous one eyed dog. E is for Eagle. “I’m so sorry.” Buzzes the bee, but the Eagle took your Strudel.” He says to the poodle. “The Eagle took my strudel!” The poodle barks wildly. The bee waves his wings in the air to silence the poodle. “But don’t stress your noodle. You grouchy one eyed poodle. Because I have a plan. I brought you this girl.” “Step forward girl. What makes her so special?”
