Hi, I’m Karots, the Welsh pony, and though I may be a bit older now, I still have a mischievous streak! As a lesson pony, I spend my days teaching children not just how to ride but how to stay alert and on their toes! My mornings start like anyone else's—with breakfast, but don’t dare give me food I don’t like, or I’ll simply refuse to eat! After my meal, I play with my pony pals—biting, kicking, and running around wildly—it’s our favorite way to bond! Then, the real fun begins. I know when the children arrive, and I can’t wait to greet them. I like to test my new two-legged friends as soon as they put the halter on, by bolting out of the stall. Sometimes I run so fast I lift them right off their feet—what a ride! Of course, if they let go of the lead rope, it’s FREEDOM! I trot around like the star of my own parade, and the humans reward me with carrots and cookies for my stellar performance. Once they catch me, it’s time for the next round of fun in the arena. I make sure their ride is exciting—no boring trotting in circles for me! I prefer zig-zag patterns, spontaneous canters, and inserting my head or leg through the fence, just to make them squeal. I’ve also mastered the art of picking up branches, just to see how long I can hold on while they try to pry them from my mouth! Of course, after all that fun, I always end the day with good behavior. The children un-tack me, give me lots of scratches (the human version of chewing, I’ve learned), and most importantly, plenty of carrots. After all, carrots are a Karots’ favorite treat!

Nylon is having issues embracing his natural curly locks. Nylon has tried everything to cover his natural curly hair from wearing baseball caps, pulling hoodies over his head with the drawstring tightly. Nylon thought to himself one night maybe if I spray my head with water and hold my hands on top of my head for 10 minutes my hair would flatten, while this did make Nylon's hair less poofy, by the time morning arrived Nylon hair was curlier and puffer than ever. Nylon figured the only other option he had was to ask his father if he could get his haircut. So, one Saturday morning Nylon's father took him to the local barbershop to get a haircut. Although this is what Nylon thought was going to be life changing, he still didn't feel any different, eventhough his hair was now gone. When Nylon returned to school on Monday all the kids were looking and pointing not quite the response Nylon was looking for, one of his classmates Syer asked him "Heyyyy, why did you cut your hair? "I thought your hair was really cool looking, I wish my hair would curl like that." Nylon gave a slight smile but on the inside he felt confused, but realized that none ever told him that they did not like his locks, no one ever made fun of him that he had extra curly hair, but instead it was his insecurities about his locks that made him feel that everyone else felt the exact same way that he did. From that day on Nylon realized sometimes being different is what makes us all be unique. Nylon went back home and told his dad that he thinks he will let his hair grow back.

"As you breathe in, raise your arms up like a wave rising high. As you breathe out, let your arms flow back down." Daisy, Ollie, and Tilly swayed like ocean waves, feeling peaceful and light. Page 5: Finally, Sam introduced his favorite, Starfish Breathing. "Let’s make a star shape with our bodies," Sam instructed. They spread their arms and legs wide. "Now, let’s trace our star," Sam said, "Breathe in as you trace up one arm, and breathe out as you go down the next." Page 6: As they traced their star shapes, breathing in and out, everyone felt calm and relaxed. "Yoga helps us feel like we’re floating on a gentle wave," Sam said with a smile. "It’s the best way to start our day!" Page 7: When they finished, they all lay down on the soft, sandy sea floor in the Resting Reef Pose. "This is how we end our yoga," Sam whispered.
